Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) Sustainability Assessment

Organizational Capacity Analysis Case Study

EcoLogix Group served as the lead subconsultant in designing and conducting a comprehensive sustainability assessment of the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) structure. The purpose of this assessment was to determine the potential for the development and successful implementation of an organizational culture change resulting in a more sustainable highway network in Maryland. The assessment report contained perceptions of SHA by internal and external stakeholders, issue identification and analysis and recommendations for management to consider through organizational change and business practices.

The development of an organizational analysis and recommendations for sustainable practices for a large, multi-faceted agency utilized EcoLogix Group's extensive government agency management expertise. The SHA project also applied EcoLogix Group expertise with respect to sustainability practices within the highway industry and the role which organizations such as the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials and the Transportation Research Board had in setting a policy framework.
