EcoLogix Group Selected to Assist USDA with Innovative Stormwater Solutions at National Arboretum

Annapolis, MD (December 1, 2003) - EcoLogix Group, a professional services company focused on sustainability planning and creating economic, environmental and social value, has been selected by the United States Department of Agriculture to plan and design innovative stormwater solutions for the world famous National Arboretum in Washington, DC. Approximately 800 urbanized acres drain heavily polluted stormwater through the National Arboretum grounds and into the significantly impacted Anacostia River. Considerations of the Arboretum aesthetics and related issues have stymied action over the past several years despite calls for action by local residents, environmental groups, politicians, and others. EcoLogix has been retained by USDA to develop and implement an innovative solution worthy of the national profile of the Arboretum and that will advance its educational and research missions while reducing the environmental impacts of the large volume of stormwater. EcoLogix is providing full project support ranging from project engineering and design to comprehensive stakeholder relations management.
