EcoLogix Group to Continue to Assist the United States Army in Transitioning to a Sustainability-Based Environmental Management Platform

Annapolis, MD (October 19, 2005) - EcoLogix Group, a professional services company focused on sustainability planning and creating economic, environmental and social value, has once again been selected by the United States Army to assist with next steps in a major transformation in their institution-wide approach to environmental management.

In 2004, the Army, with assistance from EcoLogix Group, prepared its new Army Strategy for the Environment which seeks to describe a vision of a sustainable Army twenty to thirty years in the future. This Strategy aims to take the Army "beyond compliance" to an Army that takes into account the triple bottom line of mission, environment and societal needs. It describes an end state where the Army's environmental practices are not restrictions placed on the mission, or even requirements to be balanced with the mission, but enabling mechanisms that enhance Army mission performance and become a force multiplier. The Army Environmental Policy Institute (AEPI), the organization within the Army structure that is charged with developing the specifics of the Strategy and leading the institution toward implementation, has once again chosen EcoLogix Group as a key advisor in the process. EcoLogix will join forces with Concurrent Technologies Corporation to assist AEPI in taking the project to its next phase, including pilot projects in both the Southeast and Southwest regions of the United States, providing the benefit of our subject matter expertise along with our management experience in directing such a large undertaking with an institution of the magnitude and complexity of the U.S. Army.

"EcoLogix Group is extremely pleased to continue its key role in such a vital effort to assist our nation's military in transitioning to more sustainable operations. Institutions of the size and magnitude of the United States Army present tremendous opportunities for the advancement of sustainability concepts. Indeed, the Army can change markets by realigning its purchasing priorities to reflect sustainability objectives, especially in this time of increased defense spending and heightened security. EcoLogix's emergence as an industry leader in sustainability consulting and strong history working with the Army on this initiative makes us uniquely qualified to serve in this capacity and we are truly honored to be able to bring the value of our services to this incredibly important effort," stated George Chmael II, President of EcoLogix Group.
