EcoLogix Group Chosen by the United States Army to Assist in Transitioning to a Sustainability-Based Environmental Management Platform

Annapolis, MD (July 5, 2004) - EcoLogix Group, a professional services company focused on sustainability planning and creating economic, environmental and social value, has been selected by the United States Army to assist with a major transformation in their institution-wide approach to environmental management.

The Army has recently prepared its new Army Strategy for the Environment which seeks to describe a vision of a sustainable Army twenty to thirty year in the future. This Strategy aims to take the Army “beyond compliance” to an Army that takes into account the triple bottom line of mission, environment and societal needs. It describes an end state where the Army’s environmental practices are not restrictions placed on the mission, or even requirements to be balanced with the mission, but enabling mechanisms that enhance Army mission performance and become a force multiplier. The Army Environmental Policy Institute (AEPI), the organization within the Army structure that is charged with developing the specifics of the Strategy and leading the institution toward implementation, has chosen EcoLogix Group as a key advisor in the process.
